Have you heard of the silent setting of LinkedIn where you automatically approve that they can use your profile for personalised ads?

If you don't want this to happen, you can change the setting as followed:

1. Click in the topright corner on your name and choose in the dropdown menu "Settings"
2. Left/bottom, click on "Account"
3. In the column right of Account, click on "manage Social Advertising"
4. Uncheck "LinkedIn may use my name & photo in social advertising"
